Biomarkers turn biological complexity into something measurable, and measurement is where better decisions begin. In this division we develop and validate the assays and platforms that read a sample and return an answer a clinician, researcher, or partner can act on. Our work spans target identification, assay design, and the careful validation needed to show that a result is accurate, reproducible, and genuinely meaningful. We are deliberate about the difference between a signal and a usable diagnostic, and we hold our platforms to that higher standard before they ever leave the laboratory. The capability supports several parts of the group at once, from precision medicine in healthcare to translational programmes in science, and it is equally available to external partners who need diagnostic development done properly. As technology and biological understanding advance, so do the platforms we build, but the principle stays constant: a diagnostic is only as valuable as the confidence behind it. Our job is to earn that confidence, one validated result at a time.
