Our research and development laboratories are where the group’s earliest ideas take physical form. Working across chemistry, molecular biology, and the disciplines in between, our teams move from hypothesis to bench to validated proof of concept under one roof. Each programme is built around a clear question and a defined endpoint, so promising science is pressure-tested early and weak ideas are retired before they consume resources. We work to disciplined documentation and quality standards, which means the science done here can stand up to external scrutiny, partner due diligence, and, where relevant, regulatory review. The same facilities support both our own pipeline and partner-led projects, giving us the flexibility to advance internal ventures while contributing capability to others. Investment in instrumentation, method development, and skilled scientists is deliberate and continuous, because the quality of everything downstream, from diagnostics to commercial product, depends on the rigour applied at this stage.
